The curriculum
Six modules that raise how a student thinks.
The curriculum is a structured programme in reading, reasoning, argument and reflection — the intellectual engagement that selective universities read for and that outlives the application.
- 01 Building blocks of knowledge
How knowledge is organised across the sciences, social sciences and humanities, and how the disciplines ask different questions of the same world. The student learns what kind of question they are actually facing before reaching for an answer.
- 02 Curiosity & critical thinking
Enquiry, syllogisms, logical fallacies and structured argumentation. Claims are separated from evidence, assumptions surfaced, and positions defended out loud. This module does most of the work for interviews and thinking-skills papers.
- 03 Math & scientific reasoning
Quantitative literacy for students of every stream: reading data honestly, estimation, probability intuition, and the logic of experiment and proof. Not a parallel maths tuition, and not tied to any one board.
- 04 General awareness & interdisciplinary learning
Sustained engagement with the world through NewsTrack: policy, economics, technology, climate and culture, followed across months rather than skimmed the week before an interview.
- 05 Critical reading & writing
Close reading of demanding texts and regular writing with real editing. Students publish their own blog, which gives the writing an audience, a record of growth and something concrete to point an admissions committee towards.
- 06 Reflection & self-awareness
Structured reflection on interests, values, failure and motive. This is where the personal narrative stops being a marketing exercise and becomes something the student can say plainly and mean.

The curriculum moves them towards creating something of their own, and then towards leading — taking responsibility for an idea, a project or a group. Universities notice which of those three a student sounds like.
