Admissions interventions

Five interventions between deciding and being admitted.

Universities read four parts of a profile. These five interventions are how we build them — the holistic development that meets the university requirement. One coach carries the student through all five, and the person who reads the first draft is the person who has read thousands of real applications from the other side of the desk.

Intervention 01Counselling & strategy

Where the student is, where they could plausibly go, and what has to happen between the two.

• Stream, subject and board-calendar planning
• University and course mapping in India and abroad, with eligibility checked
• A shortlist with reach, match and safe options, revisited as the profile grows
• Scholarship and financial-aid routes where relevant

Intervention 02Raising intellectual engagement

The part most families discover too late. An application can only be as good as the thinking behind it.

• Curated reading, discussion and written argument every week
• Real-world assignments and a value-creation project
• Fewer, deeper extra-curricular commitments instead of a long thin list
• A published blog as evidence of a mind at work

Intervention 03The application form

Support for three to five applications, form by form and essay by essay.

• Personal narrative built from the student's own material, never ghost-written
• Essay structure, drafting and line editing across multiple rounds
• Activity lists and descriptions that survive a sceptical reader
• Recommendation strategy and a deadline calendar the family can see

Intervention 04Aptitude tests

Preparation for the reasoning papers used by selective Indian universities, including Cambridge-style thinking skills assessment.

• Critical thinking and problem solving under timed conditions
• Visual and spatial reasoning, syllogisms and argument analysis
• Written answers marked and discussed, not just scored
• We do not run standard SAT or CLAT coaching, and will say so plainly

Intervention 05The interview

Three mock rounds with a former Head of Admissions who has interviewed over 3,500 applicants.

• Rounds that escalate in difficulty, from warm-up to genuine pressure
• Written feedback after each round on content, structure and presence
• Practice at thinking aloud, conceding a point and holding a position
• Preparation for subject, general and values-based questioning
